Exports of pet products to the neighboring country registered a jump of 74% in one year: from US$ 14.5 million to US$ 25.4 million
São Paulo, July 2022 – Peru is the 12th destination for Brazilian exports within the pet sector. Still, the number of international businesses in the segment between companies in both countries has exploded in the last year: an increase of 74%, US$ 14.5 million to $25.4 million between 2020 and 2021.
To further encourage this positive wave between the two countries, the IPB (Instituto Pet Brasil), an institution that has been encouraging the development of the Brazilian pet sector for nine years, in partnership with ApexBrasil (Agência Brasileira de Promoções e Exportações e Investimentos), has opened registrations for Brazilian companies interested in participating in an international business roundtable with Peru.
The event will be held virtually on 18th, at 11h. Companies interested in registering for the event should register at this link.
“We have seen a growing interest from Peruvian companies in our solutions and technologies for the pet sector. We want to bring together entrepreneurs from both countries to further stimulate these international businesses. Strengthening ties with South American countries, such as Peru, Argentina, and Chile, is one of the goals of the IPB this year”, says Nelo Marraccini, President of the Advisory Board of Instituto Pet Brasil.
From Brasil to the world
The Pet Brasil Sectorial Project offers guidance to companies interested in exporting their products and services, as well as promoting the Brazilian pet sector through trade missions, business roundtables, Brazilian delegations at international fairs, among other tools. Countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, China, and the United Arab Emirates are among the focuses of the business roundtables in the Brazil Sectorial Project calendar in 2022.
The fair calendar began in March, at Global Pet Expo, in Orlando (USA), with the intermediation of Brazilian companies for the event. IPB was also present and gave support to national businesses at Interzoo (held in May in Germany). It will also be present at the International Pet Meeting (in November, in Brazil).
Brazilian companies can express interest in participating in the international actions promoted by the IPB by filling out the form on this link. In addition to participating in exclusive events, participants in the Pet Brasil Sectorial Project have benefits such as the fair floor, coordination of stand assembly, and event coordination.
