Rounds promoted by Instituto Pet Brasil in partnership with ApexBrasil expand business between national pet companies and international buyers and partners.
São Paulo, June 2022 – At least BRL 2.1 million in business for the pet sector in the country. This is what Brazilian and Argentine businessmen estimate, who participated in two business roundtables promoted in May by the Pet Brasil Sectorial Project, a partnership between Instituto Pet Brasil and ApexBrasil (Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos).
According to the participants ‘ expectations, the amounts could reach BRL 3.2 million in the long term. Pet Care, which is the market segment that involves products and accessories for pets, was the one that stood out the most in the negotiations. Pet Food (food for pets) also had visibility.
“We had a very positive response from Brazilian and Argentinean companies concerning these two meetings,” says Nelo Marraccini, president of the Advisory Board of Instituto Pet Brasil. “Actions like these are essential for national companies to expand the business beyond our borders and help the pet market and the country’s economy.”
The participating Brazilian companies were: Adimax, Amicus, MatsudaPet, Durapets, Furacão Pet, Mundo Koi, Pet Med, Pet Society, Toy For Bird and Vetnil. The Argentines were RAST SRL, Discovery pet SRL, Macotas Mimadas SA, PUPPIS, UNION PET, Supermercados Toledo S.A., Bichos del Sur SRL, Señor Gonzales, Eurotec Nutrition Argentina and Neozoo.
What is the project
The Pet Brasil Sectorial Project offers guidance to companies interested in exporting their products and services and promoting the Brazilian pet sector through trade missions, business roundtables, and Brazilian delegations at international fairs, among other tools. Countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, China, and the United Arab Emirates are among the focuses of the business roundtables in the project calendar in 2022.
The fair calendar began in March, at Global Pet Expo, in Orlando (USA), with the intermediation of Brazilian companies for the event. IPB was also present and supported national businesses at Interzoo (held in May in Germany). The International Pet Meeting (November, in Brazil) is also part of the calendar.
Brazilian companies can express interest in participating in the international actions promoted by the IPB by filling out the form at this link: https://bit.ly/3Npq1Ww.
