Brazilian participation in the international pet market has grown annually; the last projection indicated that, in 2022, the value would exceed BRL 495 million
São Paulo, April 2023 – To encourage Brazilian exports, the IPB (Instituto Pet Brasil), an institution that for ten years has been promoting the development of the Brazilian pet sector, in partnership with ApexBrasil (Agência Brasileira de Promoções e Exportações e Investimentos), will hold an international round of business online next Thursday (20), at 1 pm (Brasília time), with companies from Central America.
The Brazilian brands present at this meeting are Duprat, Multipet, and Vetnil. They will have the opportunity to cross borders and make sales to companies from other countries participating in the conference.
Brazilian exports are growing year after year. In recent years, between 2019 and 2021, the increase was 40%, jumping from BRL 295.11 million to BRL 412.46 million. This amount is expected to reach BRL 495.08 million in the 2022 balance sheet, representing an increase of over 20%.
“The international pet market is heated. As a result, it’s easier to do business with companies from other countries than you might think. Fortunately, we noticed a growing interest from abroad in solutions and technologies for the pet sector. At this meeting, we seek to strengthen ties with Central American countries”, says Nelo Marraccini, president of the Advisory Board of Instituto Pet Brasil.
